Njera Perkins is a writer and editor with nearly a decade of experience in online media. A Baltimore native and Temple University alumna, she earned her bachelor’s degree in strategic communications and worked in public relations before transitioning to journalism. Her work focuses on celebrity, music, entertainment news, and cultural topics within these spaces. Njera has written for People Magazine, ELLE, Teen Vogue, Vibe Magazine, Ebony, Women’s Health, Dazed, AfroTech, and other publications. She also served as editor-in-chief of the since-retired outlet The 4th Quarter, where she highlighted local artists and creatives in her hometown.
Njera has been featured on BBC World News, in ESSENCE Girls United, The Baltimore Sun, Boardroom, & The Philadelphia Tribune, and appeared on podcasts like Come Get Your Flowers, The Working Title Podcast, The Blair List, and Where My Girls At?
